What is Rapid Eye Technology?

Rapid Eye Technology (RET) is a powerful process that helps release negative emotional, mental, and behavioral patterns that keep showing up in our lives. These patterns can leave us feeling drained, discouraged, or even physically unwell. RET allows clients to let go of emotions tied to painful experiences—without needing to retell or relive them.

Using the same natural release mechanism as REM sleep, RET works in a waking state through eye movements, blinking, deep breathing, imagery, and stress reduction techniques. This process helps open neural pathways where memories of trauma and stress are stored, allowing the body and mind to safely release them.

RET is effective for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, grief, pain, and relationship challenges. Any issue that creates stress in the mind or body can be addressed with RET.

Some people notice change after a single session, while others benefit most from a series of 5 to 20 sessions, depending on their goals.

What are the similarities and differences between RET and EMDR?

Rapid Eye Technology (RET) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) are similar in that both use eye movement to access the limbic system—the part of the brain that stores memories and emotional responses. This helps release stored messages and patterns that keep us feeling stuck.

The main difference is that RET does not require clients to recall or relive traumatic events, while EMDR typically does. This means RET often feels gentler and moves at the brain’s natural speed of processing.

While EMDR focuses on clinical outcomes and is practiced by licensed mental health professionals, RET integrates emotional, interpersonal, and spiritual elements and can be learned by anyone drawn to healing work.

RET sessions also include Skills for Conscious Living Coaching, helping clients regulate the limbic system and avoid recreating old emotional patterns.

Both RET and EMDR are valuable tools for healing. EMDR has helped many people through trauma, and RET offers a compassionate, holistic approach for those seeking emotional release, clarity, and balance.
